The last month or so I have been OBSESSING over having diapers for Colt. I had originally planned to use only covers with fitteds, prefolds and/or contour diapers. In preparing for that I wound up with a 6 pack of Bumkins prefolds, 5 Flip covers, 1 Bummis cover & a Blueberry Coverall. The look on Zach's face when he saw the prefolds reminded me that if I want him to change any diapers I'm going to need pockets in my stash again.
So I ordered 7 Bum Genius 4.0s. Then I *accidentally* ordered 5 Babyland pockets from eBay. THEN I discovered the wonderful world of online co-ops and ordered 7 more Alva pockets. Oops.
I've ordered a few other things here & there (including a customer Buccaneers diaper for daddy!) as well but I know I won't love everything and will end up reselling a lot of it.
In addition to wearing out my debit card I've been sewing. I've put together a whole bunch of cloth wipes from scrap flannel that I already had. After making them I can't believe I considered paying $10-$12 a dozen for them! I've already tested a few on Tyson when he had a bad rash & couldn't handle the disposable wipes. They work like a charm :).
Last night I attempted my first diaper cover. If Colt is smaller than Tyson was it will fit. Otherwise I need to make a friend who is having a boy and planning on cloth diapering lol. When I finished sewing the elastic on & looked at it I was shocked to see how tiny it was. It's pretty dang cute though!
